Default A4 noob

Hey all. My wife just leased a 2007 A4 2.7T, FWD.

Nice car.

In case there are any South Florida Audi owners here - where do you take your car in for service? There aren't too many Audi dealers around here. The closest one for me is 20 miles away and way out of the way.

I just checked the oil change DYI post, pretty cool, but pretty messy too. I normally have changed my own oil on all my cars- Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, Chrysler 300M, Acura TL-S, Lexus RX300, Chrysler Pacifica, and currently Pontiac GTO. I haven't had chance to drive the A4 up on the ramps yet.

Oh, if I were to do it myself, where is the best place to buy the oil filter?

TIA.

hey, i live down in south florida but im up at college at FSU right now. the best place to go for mechanical work is 1st Class Auto Body. Its on Copans east of I-95, just west of Federal Hwy. my grandfather works there and their Audi specialist really knows his stuff and he's always fixed my car right the first time (which i cant say for any other shop i've taken it to). as for getting the filter you should either go directly to champion audi (which is right down the road from the shop) or if your gona have the shop do the oil change they will order everything you need for you. i dont know about the B7's but on B5's you can literally change the oil without even jacking up the car (if your small). its extremely easy

The B7 filter is WAY different from the B5/B6 filter.

Thanks. That's a bit far from me, I am in Weston.

I am not small, but I can change oil on my GTO without jacking it up.
