Default a4 question

Hey I am thinking of purchasing a4 either 04 or 06 and was wondering which engine will get better mpg 1.8t or 2.0t? do you know there actual numbers? Also if I would end up getting 1.8t with auto transmission would revo software work good with it?(1.8t seems very slow without it)

The tests done by the EPA, the agency that assigns mpg #s, are performed under very controlled conditions. You will most likely not see the same #s that are advertised by the manufacturer. It really depends on how and where you drive. If you drive it like you stole it, you can kiss those #s goodbye. City driving will result in poorer fuel economy than highway driving. Same goes for driving in rushhour traffic. The following websites will most likely answer any other general questions you may have:

A big reason for the sticker milage differance is because in 2005 the way they tested it changed.
