What were codes that were cleared

 

faulty engine coolant temperature sensor
Cambelt faulty( the camdrive for the chain was changed and car timing was set)
coolant low

 

Well i know of coolant twmp sensor causing problems while running.... i wouldnt say it is impossible that it could cause it to not run...... some cars shut themselves down to prevent damage. I think it is very unlikely though.... check your plugs wires fuel filter maf..

 

ok, thanks....i will check the wires...but like i said it starts sometimes and sometimes it just won't start... MAF, what is this and how do i go about checking whether it functions properly or not. The other thing i noticed while driving it yesterday, is that the atmosphere reading temperature on the dashboard was reading negative 40 degrees when the temperature outside was around positive 20 degrees. can this be a cause? This morning it was reading the correct temperature @ 17 degrees, and it started just fine.

 

I wouldnt worry about that, that is just good old european electrical systems......

The maf is mass air flow sensor... where your air intake is you should see it....

Sounds like your car isnt getting fuel check your fuel filter fuel pressure regulator fuel pump fuel lines.... it is difficult to diagnose online.

 

Hey hello, my Audi A4 has the same problem,, so unpredictable, have you sorted it? we paid a garage to replace the fuel pump relay but that has not worked, we are foxed,
