ABS light / Flashing brake light EASY fix
ORIGINAL: pyropenguin
Everyone should also know that this disables your Quattro.
Our awd has a mechanical center diff, but the front and rear diffs are open. It uses the ABS sensors to detect wheelspin and apply the brakes to the spinning wheel. If ABS is disabled, it can't sense the wheelspin.

can anybody confirm that? I can't believe that.... it might (MIGHT) disable traction control, or something, for people who have it, but I know I (with my DBC 98) do not, and a nonfunctional ABS is not going to affect the quattro system.
