ABS Warranty
So I have a friend who is attending college to become a mechanic and I gave him the fault codes I pulled just to see what his professor thought on the subject...When he got to this one:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Address 03: ABS Brakes
Controller: 8E0 614 517 A
Component: ABS/ESP allrad 1726
Coding: 04277
Shop #: WSC 06435
1 Fault Found:
01119 - Gear Recognition Signal
35-10 - - - Intermittent
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
he said that it would be damn near $1000 to fix...and that Audi has a 100,000 mile warranty on the ABS system...is this true?
I went to the dealership and they said that I can have one "goodwill" fix even though I am out of warranty...and this is definitely expensive enough to warrant using that but not if I can get it covered under a warranty or service Audi implemented...
BTW just wanted to add that Williams Auto World in Lansing, MI has been extremely helpful...read some nightmare dealer stories on this forum and some good ones...thought I would post a good one...

So CL when you mean "assured" you mean that this should be taken care of by the local dealer. It was not certified when I bought it, it was out of warranty, and I did not buy it at an Audi dealership.
well if the car was not certified when u bought it and it is out of warrenty then no your Audi dealer will not take care of this assured is a warrenty available from the Audi dealer after the cars factory warrenty is done but the car needs to be pursghaced from a Audi dealer to have this assured warrenty
