Accident :(
apple, accidentd do happen. she was good enougt to leave a not, not all people would.
your ins should not go up at all. the cost of repair is being picked up by the other ins co.
keeping the note is good advice, proof of the other persons fault.
sometimes stories change about what happened.
it doesnt seel like too much damage. your baby will be good as new

Were gona go thru her insurance..i jsut wish I didnt have to tell mine and raise my rate even more >.<
Take this from a person who has dealt with this several times (hm, that would be me... 2 times for myself, and a couple of times with others). What you do is you call the other party's insurance company and open up a claim. Her insurance company contacts her to verify and confirm everything. In the meanwhile, you go to any body shop you like (choose some reputable ones) - I have gone to three - and get quotes (it takes no more than 10-15 minutes to get a quote). Then you can send/fax those quotes to her insurance company (or have the body shops do it)...
Usually the other party's insurance will be slow and not so eager to pay, but all it takes is a few calls. It's really not hard. It can be stressing but it is not that difficult.
You don't have to tell your insurance company. Mine never found out when somebody hit me (and no accident is on my driving record). Even if they do find out, it should not affect your rates. I have heard a bunch of times that they "may" raise your rates, but always from unverified sources (somebody told someone, etc).
Perfect ending .. good job on asking .. if anything these guys are not only knowledgable about the product, but day to day common sense mishaps... again i am just glad everything worked out for you and God Bless her for leaving a NOTE...
Dont worry.. your baby will be back good as new in no time
Ps: Enjoy your Rental... remember thats less miles on your car

When I bought my black '01 A4 it had a 'scuff' mark on the back from a white car that scraped against it. There's a little scratch but the rest looks like it could be buffed out. The estimate I got from a small exclusive Audi shop was $320 because they had to repaint and clearcoat the entire bumper to make it match. I imagine you'll be upwards $900 after labor to that fix.
apple,
ask the shop if they are replacing with new oem, used oem or aftermarket.
obviously the ins co will want to go the cheapest way, & that is not always the best way.
some aftermarket stuff may not fit as well as oem.
dont just let them do whatever. its your car and u may have to fight w the ins co to get better parts
but it is worth a try.
