Ok, issue number 103048485776866970, 000 with my '03 1.8Q. A few weeks ago I started to notice when use my keyless lock button my drivers door sometimes wouldn't lock or unlock, now it never does. My other doors operate fine when i press the button on mykeyexcept for my drivers door, causing me to use the key to lock the door. Ive used to the search option for the site but didn't come up with any real answers. Anyone have this problem before?

 

do you hear the mechanism in the door buzzing? it's supposed to buzzed and then click. you probably need to take the door panel off and check things out

 

Could it be the switch that determines whether or not the door is closed? I know when I have my drivers' door open and lock the doors, every door except that one will lock.

if it dosent work it may be the actuator. that happened on an old car of mine. its not the end of the world but it is a P.I.T.A. to fix.
