Default Almost fixed

So I got my car fixed at AUDI yesterday I had a bunch of vac leaks andfluttering DV. Well they replaced some hoses and put a stock DV on cuz my EVOMS one was shot. Its 5 months old!! Anyway "lifetime warranty" so I stop by evoms and get a new one and im getting it swapped back out with the factory one Audi put on next week. Anyway since I got the flash done I have had problems with vac leaks and the flash dying. Well Audi says no vac leaks I see all the replaced hoses and she pulls much harder but I can still hear air rushinf through a pipe just not quite as loud and the flash dies. I have ordered a n75J and should be getting that soon. Do you guys think that culd be causing the still lingering problem. For the Record, shoud I hear rushing air at all? When you punchit what should you hear?

I dont understand when you say "the flash dies". It makes no sense. Do you understand the words that you are even typing? Are you saying you have boost loss? Fuel cut out? Do you even have a boost gague?????Itsnear impossible to troubleshoot performance problems unless you have a boost gauge. Why would you let audi put in a stock DV when it is so well known that the stock DV cant withstand the boost that a chip gives you?????? Im guessing there is nothing wrong with your evoms dv, and audi is just making some easy money off you. The "air rushing through a pipe" is normal. Becuase when you boost, there is air, and it IS rushing through your intercooler piping. Its the normal sound of a puny k03 turbo boosting. How was your evoms dv broken anyways? What part of it failed? They are pretty much impossible to break or to even **** up when manufacturing.

I did not even know they were replacing the DV they just said vac lines. I paid $300in parts a large chunk of which was the factory DV when I could have gone to EVOMS and gotten another aftermarket one free. When I say die go into limp mode. Sorry. Anyway what I really want to know is if I still hear air rushing is it normal or should I be able to hear the turbo spool cuz now all I hear is air and Audi did a vac leak check and says all good

ya man.. its normal. get a boost gauge so you dont get paranoid about these things and know whats going on with your boost. Its a must have.

No if anything, the J valve is more likely to put you into limp mode. The H valve steadies the boost spikes better so id go with that, if anything. But you REALLY need a boost gauge FIRST. I wouldnt jump to any conclusions about going into limp mode or bother with any current running issues you might have until you get a boost gauge.

I was told the H valve will cause me to spike higher and definately cause me to go into limp mode from time to time due to overboosting

i would definatley agree you need a boost guage....... and before you toss that DV i would check it out, theres no way it should be "shot" after 5 months. Sounds like the dealer wanted some extra money for you (no suprise) since they always have an explanation that things are wrong because of aftermarket products.

The J valve is more agressive. Both decreasespiking compared to the stock valve, and there was a recent thread discussing all this-shouldnt be hard to find.
