Think we may have finally sourced the problem im having with my 02 1.8t,
Having unbearable futter vibration coming from accessory belt and tensioner, just a as engine comes underload. Replaced harmonic tensioner but to no avail.
Now believe its the alternator pulley clutch thats failed, removed the belt and spun pulley on alternator and then held it but the shaft locked up too.
Also if i stick a screwdriver in between the fins of the alternator the pulley will not move in either direction!!

Would this be the classic signs of a failed pulley??
Any help?
