I kno its not exactly a TT, but i have 54 plate Audi A4 tdi multitronic.

Recently the steering was making a squeal sound on fullock coming from the engine. One day a few weeks later the power steering failed and the steering became heavy nd the battery light came on.

I took it to the garage and they replaced the alternator pulley belt. Now the power steering works fine, the car does however make a rattle noise at idle and on full lock, its a constant rattle from the engine and it reduces slightly when driving.

The garage said tht the alternator pulley is normally replaced with the belt. is it the alternator pulley that may be causing the rattle?
