Default Another Chip question

Can anyone with a chipped 2000 frnt drive tip b5 tell me if my ecu needs to be flashed or actually have it soldered on? I get mixed information on this. I want the giac.

are you sure? It is drive by wire, and people tell me if it is, it can be flashed.

i duno anymore and im not sure but
giac said the 2000 1.8T is FlashLoader Compatible
so i say find a chip dealer of your liking and give then a call
