First, i have searched high and low for the answer to this. I called the dealer, asked them which keyfob i needed, and he instructed me i need to get the one WITHOUT the trunk open button. The problem lies in finding one of those, so i am wondering:

Has anyone succesfully used a remote that has the trunk open function on a car not equipped with that feature? Obviously, pressing the button would do nothing, but i'm wondering if lock/unlock works.

I actually did read that thread, however was still a little confused. I haven't read anyone that told me they were using the remote with the trunk release on a car not equipped with that feature.Basically i'mlooking for someone who is using a remote with the trunk release button a car not equipped with that feature. I've read alot of "should work" etc, but i dont want to spend 80 bucks to find out it doesn't work. Thanks,

 

I'm using it right now. So yes it WILL work, only the trunk lock/unlock button is nonfunctional.
