I'm looking for a remote keyfob (switchblade type) with a part number of 4DO.837.231D.

If anyone has one for sale please let me know... I've tried eBay but haven't had any luck finding this part number on there (plenty of others but not the one I need!).

where do you get them cut at?? ( The ones from ebay)

 

Well you can take them to the dealer to get them cut, but they might charge you a lot. Normal key cutter stores don't like cutting these types of key.

However, when I bought a switchblade ageeeees ago off of eBay there were people selling them who cut them for you as well.

All they needed was your Audi key number (which should be on a tag type thing bundled with our keys when you got them) or what I did, as I didn't have the tag, was scan in my key and they were able to recognise the key number and cut me a perfect new one.

I think it cost about £10 for the key and the cutting.

I assume there are still people on eBay who do this.

 

umm, yeah, I just bought one of the same that your looking for off eBay (sorry, not for sale(spare))....

after you get da fob I have heard that some of the bigger audi/vw dealers cut for around 30$...I had a place up by me cut my key for $60...it's the only place within 100 miles that cuts sidewinders, so I don't mind the price jack too much...

i got a few FOBs ling around but no actual key, just the transmitter.

 

You mean the bottom part of the fob? So just the bit with the buttons?

Any of those have the part number i'm after?

its the whole assembly minus the actual blade, let me get home and see what i got i know i have several for the A6, A4,A2 and allroad. not sure if they work though, my brother and me ought them as a lot on ebay. ive only sold one to a frined of mine and he says it works out well.
