Default APR Anti-Theft

I was at the dealership and I was informed by the car salesman that if someone were to break in the car would go immobile and it cant be hot wired or started in anyway. Then im looking at apr and they sell the chip with "anti-theft" I thought what could that do, The website states"Anti-Theft: Anti-Theft can render your car immobile to thieves, even if the there is an attempt to start the car with your own key! For more information about Anti-Theft, click here." I didnt click here because I was confused. haha I dont think its worth 150 bucks

IMHO, APR anti-theft is more useful for those with older Audis that don't have the Immobilizer built-in.

Or for those who are afraid of thieves that will take your key AND your car.
With Immobilizer, no key, no go.

$200 isn't worth it for APR anti-theft. If it were $50 it would be worth it.

APR AT might also be useful in a carjacking situation, if you're able to engage it before you get out of the car. Once engaged, the car won't start after it's shut off.

Yeah but the easiest way to steal a car still is using a tow truck. And none of those will help in that case. Best anti theft is park your car in a safe place like a garage.
