so im sure a lot of you know about the radio's anti-theft system that puts the radio into safe mode when you disconnect the battery or a couple other things.This just happened to mine and id rather not pay those cheap audi dealers to give me my code. So ive been looking at wiring diagrams and pictures for the radio system and was wondering if I could just cut the anti theft wire going to the radio? or would that cause something else bad to happen? Oh and also is there a way that i can hook my ipod to the stereo system without buying some dumb ipod thing. Or even just hooking it directly to the stereo without going through the radio? thanks a bunch for the replies

 

Cutting the anti theft wire from the decks going to do what you dont want it to do. As for the code you dont have the orginal card? most keep it i know the last owners of my audi did and if you call a good audi dealer they shouldnt charge you for the code.

 

well from what I have heard they charge you anywhere from 50 to 100 bucks for it. Thanks for the help though!
