i got a used 2006 2.0t with quattro, and so far it's been really reliable. i live in minnesota and it works great in the cold and the snow. i have not had a single problem, though the turbo does have a little lag sometimes. but overall it is a great car and i would definatelly recommend it.

German cars are very reliable but very quirky... if you can do basic stuff yourself and get a vagcom so you have an idea of whats going on...

any german car is expensive to work on... acutally any high end car for that matter whether its infinite, lexus, bmw, benz, cadillac

i have 75k on my 04, chipped for 7k... only thing ive had break is the fuel pump went out... fixed it myself for $220

Lol - Honda's aren't cheap to fix either. The last 02 air/fuel sensor I replaced on a 98 Accord was like $185 and only the dealer had it. That car had a cel on constantly for one reason or another - we finally traded it in. My B5 A4 has been much more reliable.
