If yo have 'chunks' missing its probably done and any good shop will tel you this. I have been there it sucks. But if your rims are that bad it may be a good time to move on to some better wheels....and from teh sounds of it its not your abs causing the problem its the choice of tires.

 

When abs kicks in, it normally points to inadequate tires. My abs activates only when I hammer the brakes, even in the snow.

 

check ur rims make sure they arent bent. ur trend of ur tires well wear out alot faster

 

ABS is sometimes bad in snow because without abs the tire can build up what they call a snow wedge which is just the pushed snow in front of the tire when they lock up...

Of course abs is helpful in to many other situations to be without...

SNOW ??? sucks to live in southern cali like i do !!! i haven't seen snow in years !!! send some over my way guyz !!! i'm sure you won't miss it that much !!! Although i haven't seen the snow in years, who in souther cali buys a car with snow chains ??? I DO !!!! haha, what a joke that is !!! my car came with snow chains !!!!
