Not that this is a major problem, but the scan feature doesn't seem to work properly in my 2000 1.8tQ. I push the button and it seeks but doesn't find stations.

I tried changing the sensitivity according to the procedures in the manual, but it didn't help.

reception is otherwise good and manually, I can tune in lots of stations.

Thoughts or help appreciated.

 

probably not a whole lot you can do. You could spray some electrical contact cleaner into the button, but if that doesn't work your out of luck. Ebay or dismantler, if you need that feature?

 

My dealer offered a swap out option for a refurbed unit at $199.00. My HU completely failed and they just swapped me out in a matter of five minutes. Seems a bit much just for the scan feature though.

 

rip off, get one on ebay. 70 bucks max.
