b5 a4 rear speaker removal

To remove your rear speakers you need to fold your seats down and lift the rear deck lid up. then you slide it toward the front of your car. before you do this though, disconnect you rear brake light. i got 6.5" sony xplod's that did not fitbecause they were too small. nexxia has speaker adapters for it but i made my own fromthe originalspeakers. pretty clever in my opinion. good luck.

You have to lower the seats, remove the side bolsters, take the plastic covers off the car seat hooks, remove the exposed bolts, disconnect the wiring to the third brake light, then lift the rear deck up and forward over the seat belts to access the speakers.

im stuck, how do you get the plastic covers off the car seat hooks?

its easy the back cover just pops off and there's 4 screws that hold the speaker in i think
