I have a B7 with 13000 miles on it, I bought it new and don't drive it hard as a rule. It sounds like the front brake squealersare starting to alert me. I don't know if this is to be expected at 13k miles or if it is just cold weather, salt, etc.... something else. I had it state inspected last month at 12k, no mention of brakes being low. Should I be concerned?

 

No, they should be good for a long time, beside doe's your car have an indicator light for that? It is mostlikely the conditions you are driving isand stye of driving,I would possible suggest driving it harder as a rule.

You may also want to call the dealership and see if there are any tsb's for the anti squeel shims or brake pad slides.

 

Good morning and thanks for the advise. I don't know if I have an indicator lamp for that? This is my first A4 so even though I have had it a year, there is much I don't know... I'll get the manual out and read........
