Hey Krule,

I live in Kirkwood, next to Little 5 Points. Are you familiar with that area of Atlanta?

I haven't done any mods yet, but I am in the process. I think I'm gonna put neuspeed sport springs on it and some 18x8 sport wheels. I have a poll under this section for the wheels I am looking at if you haven't seen it yet. I just bought some Amsoil oil and some engine flush to see if that helps my gas mileage issue. Beyond that, I think I might chip it later on and add a strut bar. What have you done to your car?

Nothing yet because i bought it in may of last year and i lost my license in november of last year so the car is sitting in the garage right now, but before that i had a 96 A4 2.8, and i traded it in for this one, and i havent had a chance to get all that stuff worked on the car, but once i get my license back i found a shop in Buford that does Porsche's and Audi's, and i contacted them and they said to come by and see what they can help me with. I will probably do mostly engine stuff nothin fancy on the outside except wheels

Dear APG96,

please try not to steal other people's threads.

Please also try to learn a little bit about cars by buying a book about general car maintenance. Haynes makes a very nice manual for Audi which you can purchase for 15 dollars which will answer many questions regarding the A4 and general car maintenance.

The internet, specifically google is a great resource. Make the effort to try to learn things rather than asking other people to do work for you.
For the last time i do own that book? And i asked an aopinion for those who have already done it on this car. I know general matience i just like to here feedback and what not to do from people that have already done it, and that is not in the Haynes book [sm=chairshot.gif]

Well I was getting bad mileage as well, I have a 02 1.8TQ Tip, about 50 miles per quarter tank. Took it to the dealer as usual with any dealer after some arguing they found the turbo was leaking oil. They replaced it and now I am getting the correct gas mileage, 458 miles for my last tank of gas and I filled 15.5 gallons = 29 miles per gallon. I don't really do any city driving, mostly just in the burbs and stuff hardly any highway. Good Luck with your mileage problem.

My issue is with the performace what is the normal 0-60 mph times for these B6 Quattro's I was getting anywhere between 9-10 secondsis that right? I thought they were supposedto be 7.5 or something?

Went to the stealership since I'm still under warranty... I spoke with the head tech. He agrees that my mileage is way to low. I told him that I trouble shot all of the thing's that we've discussed. They're going to check the O2 sensor and MAF sensor along with some other specs after reading the computer this Thursday.

Apparantly, our engine lights don't come on until the sensors reach a certain tolerance. So, we think it might be some sensors on the verge of collapse. But, that's about all I know until Thursday. I'll keep yall posted!

P.S. We test drove my car cause I was hearing some odd front end noises and he's certain I need new CV Joints and ball bearings. I also think my rear shocks are shot, but I forgot to tell him. I think there shot cause my car bounces 2-3 times when I push i down...Do these cars ever stop breaking??

Rgds,

GJ

You are right. You don't get a CEL until the o2 sensor is out of spec. These things die a slow death as they wear out. Let us know what hapens when they replace the sensor.
