So sometimes when i start my car, i hear this beeping noise comming from my B6, sorta sounds like its comming from the back right, im not sure. Any one know whats going on, it doesnt happen all the time, seems randomly.

 

I have read before that it is due to a weak 2ndarybattery for the alarm. Not sure. But I am pretty sure its only a B6+ thing.

 

Where is this secondary battery? Is it hard/expensive to replace?

 

I own a 2004 Avant Wagon - A4 - 3.0 litre. Love the car. Do not love the beeping noise that randomly shows up.

I too have an issue with beeping. It seems to only happen on very hot days but that could be a coincidence.
The beeping lasts for a few minutes. It then quits for a few minutes then starts again. It might do this for an hour.
I opened the rear hatch and then removed the panel on the right side just aft of the wheel well.
Inside that compartment is what appears to be an amplifier for the Bose sound system and a black box which appears to be a fan but it is difficult to tell because of its position.
I disconnected the power to the Bose unit. The beeping continued.
The sound appears to be coming from the black unit just below what I think is the Bose amplifier - Box (silver or aluminum color)
I removed the fuse that was listed for the radio. The beeping continued.

I'm stuck. The thing (beeping noise) is incredibly annoying. I have no idea why the thing is beeping not how to stop it.

I'm also tolerating same problem in this model. I have communicate with seller but didn't receive any proper solution. I wanna pay if needed to solve it as it's not comfortable as a user. Same too waiting for feedback from existing user if any hv explanation.

 

I bought an Audi Q7 and also bought extended warranty. The car has been sent back for repairs more than 3 times as have beeping noise problem and still there is the same problem or new problem! !!
