and why everytime that i refresh this page does it ask me to log into "Brrman"??
Sorry about that BRRMAN.COM login problem... I just got off a real time customer support chat with Jose at Brinkster.com (the host for my domain brrman.com)

for some reason it was asking for authorization to access any files on my domain ( it was my sig graphic)... they made a tweak and all is well...

frikkin weird.

Let me just say, this could be the best idea since sliced bread. I haven't even done it yet and I freaking love it!

HAW HAW... we shall see. Just let it be know that I tend to go a little crazy with my mods and plan them out well... I can not stop thinking about it today, not getting much done at work... have drawn up a few designs and sketches on how I want to proceed...

man, I haven't gotten excited about a mod in quite a while... though I did recently put chrome mirror housings on the car, and that turned out really nice.

...and of course I will document my process like the rest of you have.

EDIT: well now, unfortunately my GF's grandmother just died.... so my mod may have to wait a few days.

Yeah I was so excited to do it too. Its still exciting and im having a hard time getting work done too because im still thinking about it.
Another thing i noticed by the way is that the car seems to leap more when the turbo spools up. Makes you want to drive aggressive more (if thats even possible for some?)

I wonder if this will affect fuel mileage...

Actually for the worse... Car sees more air being taken in, so it may add fuel to the ratio to compensate (via MAF)... I haven't given it much thought, was just pondering.

NOTE: I have stickied this thread to the top, since there is so much interest in it.... I will unsticky it when appropriate...

First off my knowledge on this mod isn't exactly extensive.
But the way I see it you're not actually forcing more air into the system, just allowing it to get that much more cold air freely. So under "normal" throtling conditions, while there will be more air coming in, it shouldn't be THAT much more. But when you really hit on the gas then I could see the sensors adding more fuel to the mix there by getting worse gas mileage. (feel free to correct me)

This is crazy I had no idea!!!!!! The reason for not putting it into the DIY is because I don't want to be responsible when some kid runs through a 3ft pot hole full of water!!! Plus some of you have added great ideas to what I did in the first place. Maybe we need to take all the good ideas and then make a DIY after more testing ofcourse
