But it would be hard to fabricate a scoop that is actually worthwhile and efficient trying to route it down past the turbo plumbing etc. Redgoat did it and noticed a few degree's difference i think. But there should be a margin of error of a few degree's so who knows if it actually works.

here we go then, look at the mod ( im not saying its bad but I did that 20 years ago lol ) the main thing to consider is clean air flow and the ridges/ribs in the bottom of the air filter housing they need to be removed and allow fast air to flow a little like porting and polishing, the drilled holes are what the UK do on fords and vauxhalls for noise only and the damage im not going into because its my bread and butter you screw up I fix it

PLEASE dont put a scoop on your audi!!!.. Well, if you do, at least put an alluminum F-16 fighter jet wing on it to complete the look... Even a fog light syle scoop would allow more debris/water to enter the ducting than the wheel well style mod. Thats what redgoat did and he even said he would only use it while at the track. At least the holes in the wheel well allow air directly into the box as opposed to routing the air throught ducting etc. Yes its not being forced in, but it opens things up enough to provide for more free flowing just like a short ram.

hahah no def. not putting a hood scooop on! just thinking of how I could widen the stock scoop or funnel more air to it. does the stock scoop get air straight on or does it get blocked by the lip of the hood?

you can make a scoop for the hood with twin intakes one for the standard where the release hood clip is and a vent for the lower where the fans are ( all in one unit ) but its down to the pipe diameter for them both to work
