best coilpacks for the buck?
i think u can piece together the kit for less than ecs from www.vagparts.com
someone on www.audizine.com had posted all the part #'s u needed before ECS started offering the kit... search around on there, im sure u can dig it up
but u will need:
4 Hitachi E cp's
8 bolts
4 gaskets
but i dont have the part #'s
u can always just pickup the one CP u need from the dealer (about $30 +/-)to get it going again then order the Hitachi E kit so u wont have to worry about it anymore...
if u drive it with one blown, i think it ruins your cat if u have one...

^no, coilpack's don't have gaskets. that is if you want to get irritatingly specific [:@]
they have O-rings. which do create a seal much like a gasket..
and cincy, spark plugs don't have gaskets either. they use crush washers

so i picked up 2 coilpacks from the dealer for the time being. One to keep in the trunk as a spare. soon as ecs tuning has the Hitachi e's in again I will order them. Does anyone know if you actually get more performance out of them or are they just more reliable?

As for the packs, they are just more reliable.
