... You're on a stock clutch?

Do this then, because it won't last long if you dump it.

Rev it up to about 5,000RPM, let the clutch out lightly for the first 20% or so, give it gas to accomidate for the loss, you'll start moving forward pretty good and your RPM should stay at about 5,000RPM. Right after you've let it out that 20%, bring the clutch out all the way quickly, and accomidate it with proper gas.

I'll post up video for you, show you how I work my pedals when I launch.

You'll have the clutch fully released, and at full boost right before you hit the red line. This is the best launching method on stock clutch, and on the stock car. This doesn't eat your clutch up too bad, and you won't bog out. It gives you a steady launch. If you rev it up and just dump the clutch, you'll unload all the power, and bog down before you start moving again.

Once you get a Stage II clutch... Just pull a Tom Ritt, and give it Hell, hahahaha.

Thanks Zed, that is what I was looking for.
It would be awesome if you could post a video here on this thread, just to finish up the discussion.
Thanks for the input!

just hold just above the lag point, its suppose to like 3500RPM the lag end point so use 4500RPM and same as before let the 20% go then give gas full and release the clutch fast so that the RPM shot high to like 4750-5000RPM and let it catch too, so accelerate burn a bit release a bit of the gas and WOT again and slam into 2nd.

so like
20% -4500 50%-4750 100%-5000 100%-4000 100%-up to like 5500 or something just above the peak curve of HP, and second. should end up in 2nd at 3700 RPM

Stock clutch is kinda pointless to launch with. My best time are when i go wot from idle and side step it at 5.5k to 6k.

some biatch pulled out onto a highway and made me swerve around her and she kinda tapped me (no real damage) . I felt her hit me, so I pulled over and so did she. Got out my maglite and there was no damage so i said yea whatever u can leave. I was so pissed though that I launched my car pretty hard and im pretty sure all 4 tires broke loose (side of RT.22 has alot of loose gravel). Idk, I will launch around my backstreets and stuff but dont have it down to a science.

rev to 7200 rpms and let that biotch out. or go from 4500 and let it slip out, build boost, and then take off like a bat out of hell
Thanks, I assume you've done this. Do you have an upgraded clutch, it looked like your car is pretty well modded.

Really, will this kill my clutch, or is the stock clutch pretty resiliant.

Thanks!
ya i have done this a few times. its fun to mess around, in fact i just got done practicing my launches for fun
