Best Launch strategy - what do you think?
Yes, you redline your car and dump the clutch... See how long your powertrain holds up. I give it 2 seconds.
Especially on a stock car, I'm sure the tires would just LIGHT UP!

now i wouldnt expect that, that is something you do if you really dont care about your car... I used to have a 400hp mustang, im used to the whole 'give it gas, it spins tires' thing... obviously this wouldnt work on a stock car, but its the most effective way to launch... actually reccomended in a skyline
Even a Skyline's powertrain won't hold that... Trust me man, I used to be in the importing business, and we had a lot of morons coming back looking for powertrains after they tried the same feat. Unless you've got your hands on a Nür, I wouldn't recommend doing that.
And I used to to have a Laser... I'm used to the whole "Easy into it so you don't light the tires up" thing. But hey, these are Audis, now aren't they? Just hit the rev limiter and dump it! Right?

I forget which model it was, but one of them actually reccommended that for launch. Sorry i cant tell you which one, i dont much like japenese cars, so i only pay so much attention.
2002 Nissan Skyline Spec Nür... The last BNR34s made, and only 2,000 made, 560bhp, deemed indestructable.
There now you know, the only stock Skyline that can take your method of launching... Go find one, they're only about $90,000. Have fun bringing in an OBDII Skyline.

ur not gonna break a quattro drivetrain launching off the limiter unles u have some very very sticky tires, I've launched like that at least 50 times with no issues whatsoever, unless u think a wheel bearing is related to that, but they are a known flaw on these cars

im scared of lauching mine now cuz ppl said i didnt break my new clutch in right even though the ppl who installed it didnt say anything about babying it for 500 miles. when i work the clutch and the gas and strong burnt rubber like smell comes from the clutch, idk why but it does even after getting a new damn clutch. they said cuz of the excess dirt from the old clutch, but why didnt they clean it out. he also said that if u work like that making that smell then i will burn it out. wtf. u got any ideas tom?
yea that smell is def bad, it will not lost very long if you make it smell all the time. Take it very easy for a while until it wears off the glaze on the clutch. What clutch did u get?
spec stage 1. ya well i hardly make it smell like that. im very very careful when it comes to not making that smell, but sometimes it just happens, like when i pull up on my rhino ramps or up a huge *** hill. my clutch pedal sticks a wee bit so when i go get my cv joints fixed, hes gonna bleed it for me.
