Default The best performance route?

Hey all,

The wife and I purchased aa 03 A4 w/ sport package about a month ago and I have been doing some research on performance parts. To give you a little background I traded in my WRX that put down 300 awhp and 302 ft/lbs. of torque. I am in no way looking to get those numbers out the Audi, but looking for some more power out of it since it is an Automatic (the wife's car)... I was thinking about going this route, but want some input from you guys.

Performance:

Milltek exhaust w/ downpipe - $1000
Hyper boost HX diverter valve - $155
Racetec FMIC - $899
O.CT Stage 1 chip - $695
Intake - Which one?

Or should I just go with the Revo kits? I really am not looking into swapping injectors and turbo, since I have been there and done that. I had done all that on the WRX and really do not want to mess with those kind of things on the wife's car.

Exterior:

Audi or Sportec B7 RS4 wheel
Body kit - Sportec? or is there a nicer one?

Suspension and Brakes:

Might leave the sport suspension on, but any ideas?
Want to do the Porsche Reds or Yellows- There is a local shop that has done these, but anyone ever run into problems or have them?

I think that is about all that might happen on the Audi, but I would like any input from you guys. Sorry for the long post just wanted to get as much information, to help out.

Thanks

I don't know 1.8t's that well, but forget the intake.

Sounds like you have a pretty good plan. I would lower it a bit, and go with a chip from APR, GIAC, or REVO. I've never heard of the one you mentioned. I would go with a stage 1+ (chip and injectors) from any of the three companies I listed.

Oh and intakes are pretty much just for sound. They won't do much for performance, but the best one is the Carbonio V2.

your almost spending 3k on that setup.. you can get a TON more power out of that for 3k.. I believe the stock ehaust is pretty decent in the b6's. mani, DP, gt3071r or 2871r, 440's or 550s and revo can get you great power. you don't need to get such an expensive intercooler.
mani = 300
DP = 200-300 custom
injectors = 150-200
turbo = 1100
revo = i'm not too sure
intercooler AND piping = 500 (check ebay , just get one with a good abr and plate core and you should be all set)
for just a tad more cash you can put down those same number and have a sleeper

oops.. it's the wifes car and an Auto. Well, it's the thought that counts.

That is the problem that I am having. It is an auto and the wifes car. I had my toy that put down some good numbers, but now just looking to get a little more out of it. I don't mind about spending the money on good to great parts and not getting xtreme numbers out of it. I would rather spend the money and have something that she can just get in, drive and not have to worry about what map its on. I had to tinker with the WRX alot since I ran a piggyback.

I would like to just get a plug and play chip that is already tuned and never have to mess with, unless I put more parts on, then I can send it in a have the company reflash for extra parts.

With that intercooler kit I do not have to cut the bumper to fit.

The auto should'nt be a problem unless you are running more then 300TQ.

I have APR 1+ on my Tip , its 235HP and 275TQ on 93 octane. A HUGE improvment over stock , while it still mantains stocklike driveability.

Stay away from intake's , they wont improve much . An intercooler and exhaust would help alot too
