Cheaper/Better Route?
My car is a 2000 1.8T FWD Audi.
My mechanic said that I could get something like this... http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=756 ...but to fit my FWD audi I might have to cut the tips off (he wasnt sure) and add in extensions between the muffler and the tips so that it is long enough. Is his correct in this statement? I looked under my car and it lseemed like he was, because there was a much longer piping coming out of the muffler than the 7" out of the magnaflow.
..would it be cheaper to purchase this flowmaster muffler http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/pr...oducts_id=3412 and have a shop build an extension to some aftermarket tips? Which series would I want, would I want a single in dual out, or a single in single out?
Thanks for any input, I am completely at lost with this stuff

RE: Cheaper/Better Route?
bump...how about keeping the resonator and doing 2.5" custom piping w/o a muffler and splitting it into two chrome polished tips.
Price is the main factor here, I need something that sounds good/but is also affordable.
