thought i might as well post in both thread. all the crap i said in my other one and i agree with the mods. the car looks like a matchbox car and doesn't appeal to me. you wana talk about value for your dollar than ok a 2006 Honda Civic Si 25 grand is what you will end up paying (at very least) or a 2000 a4 1.8T with under 40K miles for 15 grand. both have similar hp, the audi handles MUCH better, its more luxurious, and i shutter to think how much faster the a4 would be after after 10 grand was put into it....and it wouldn't look like a matchbox

You sound like you're a young guy. I would go with the civic for now. I had one and loved it to death. Maintenance and repairs are real cheap. Services aren't an all day affair. There are alot more hassles to owning an Audi or any other German car than you probably think. And whatever negative stuff these guys have to say, they will NEVER be able to say anything of substance against a civic. Hell, you can put regular gas in the thing.

Yha Chaos now your talken like racer. Now Imagine if you bought a 1994 sentra se-r for 3gs and put an SR20DET N14 into it. total cost $5500. 13s on stock motor. Imagine If Bought an old Volkswagon Karman Gia for good knows how little and put a Porsche engine behind the seat. Or if bought a Honda CRX and put the 220hp Prelude H22 in the front. another 13 second car with stock motor. These are all sick cars.

Personally I can only justify spending over 10gs on a car before mods, would have to be if it's new. I can think of something I like better otherwise.

hmmmm no that honda is ugly even the white one an audi will get you noticed a civic will just make you like every one else that has a honda like 50% of all high school kids today and if then find out that that motor will bolt up in anything else that honda makes that car will be hard to keep and the insurance will be more due to thefts and don't think hondas little anti-theft thing does a whole lot it is easly bypassed to where and audi's is a lot harder to bypass. i know all this because i use to work with alot of the major insurance compines to repair stolen cars or car that where brokein it to and mostly that i worked on was any thing honda or jeep not to many german cars.

ill just say this, that once you admire the subtle things in the audi that makes life easier (this excludes the damn cupholders [:@] ) it will be hard to go back to a japaneese car...

there's somthing that can be said for somthing that i cant explain about the aura of a german car, somthing about it is just better than all others...

i kno defantly that even tho this is my second car my heart is gonna be set in the engineering room of the greatest german automakers for the rest of my life...

true Clutch, there is no limit to what you could do with a good 10 g's. it's just my personal opinion that for the money my audi was the best bet. i mean for $8250 i got a 1.8TQM with 275 HP S4 body kit Sport Tuned Suspension Intake k03 turbo Bose Audio System w/ 6 disc changer and perfect leather interior. my friend just spent 9000 on a 01 Accord and didn't get anywere near the power or luxury. This is a neverending debate between people for as long as cars have been out. It all just boils down to preference. With that said im done on this thread. have fun arguing guys.

I used to sell Honda's when the new gen Si came out. It's a quick little car, good quality build, and will be faster out of the box than the 3.0 Auto. However, it's not exactly a rocket... 0-60 in 7.2 isn't bad, but it's no vette either.

It comes down to this... do you want a sporty little car that'll feel more like a sports car or do you want a luxury car with a little sport feel to it? The civic is hands down more sporty and it's quicker too, but the luxury, quality, and solid build of the Audi make it a much more prestigious luxury based car. One more thing to consider too, you'll most likely have more problems with the Audi as well.

Just my $.02
