dang, bhasz why dont you listen to the experience audi tuners. Its kinda like getting a ferrari and putting a lift kit on, sure it can be done but people know better. You need to just swallow your pride and "know better" at a time like this.

We have been trying to tell you for a while now that dtec and boost controllers are not for euro tuning, they are for hondas and acuras and vehicles that dont have the luxury of a simple chip that does everything.

lets go now dont dissapoint us, get that giac and i guarantee you will thank everyone for pulling you out of possibly one of the biggest holes ever.

audi rocks

I'd listen to Jeff, hes had a **** ton of experience with different performance shops and really just knows the car all around... He owned a amazing A4 and has done many different things mod wise with it... So if he says dtec is a bad idea, then i'd listen... Whats the point of blowing your turbo or engine instead of saving 535$ for a safe chip and diverter valve... that gets you more power and reliability in the end.

But to each his own, it just seems its highly recommended that you don't do dtec.... and thats coming from a guy who knows his ****.

just let the dude use the dtec. I dont even know what it is, therefore I can agree that it will mess something up. All I have3 to know is a fewacronyms and I'm set(APR and GIAC.)

let him go to MAC and get it tuned, blow his turbo and if we're lucky his engine and then come crawling back to the forums where we can say "told you so".

jk. sounds like the DTEC is a bad idea bro. get a used chipped ecu of the classifieds on here or the zine and keep yours as a backup and your set! $400 well spent.

If you raise the boost level on your stock non chiped 1.8t your car will go into limp mode your cel will go on and your computer will limit boost to about 5psi untill you clear your codes. Save your self the trouble and get a chip.
