Default Boost Gauge Install

Hi, I'm just wondering what hardware is needed to install one of VDO's boost gauge? or would I be better off just buying an install kit instead of piecing together the hoses, conectors and clamps?

i think its best to use the install kit. if noy, you will need a small long nilon hose, a T connector for the rubber hoses fron the vaccume line off the engine, a converter from teh rubber vaccume hose to the small nylon hose. you could also look at what exactally is in the install kit and piece it together yourself. but i dotn imagine the install it is much andit makes life a whole lot easier. u also need clamps

Ohh, nylon, id say full rubber hose, that nylon hose gets stretched and old fast
then falls apart. Basically, long vac hose, the plastic T to transfer air to the gauge
and i think depending on year of audi 2000 and up? you need a filter in the line
to provide smooth air flow. BUt im not sure bout that, oh and yeah, plastic clamps
are real nice.

Yea my cars an 01, but I heard there was a special T connector that prevents buzzing or something. This is way more complicated and confusing then it should be so I'll just buy one of those kits. Anyone know who sells a good one w/ heavy duty hoses?
