Well my buddy made the cube work on his 04 Jetta by taking a dremel to it but I definitely tried and tried and it didn't work. I spent many hours trying to turn those damned things. I ended up getting the tool from ECS and then right after that they ran a special on them, so you might be able to get it even cheaper. Those guys are good to deal with BTW...also got my 710N from there.

onepoint8tee: do I need special tools to replace front rotors ? I want to get A8 rotors and replace with the old ones ? is it hard to take out the rotors ?

BTW I think I'll need this kit too, so I can pay half of total so i can use it too, you can keep it too.

I haven't done my fronts yet but I don't think you need it. Just a regular C clamp should do.

Oh, and getting the rotors off can be a PITA. I ended up wrapping a tshirt around my hammer and banging on it for like 15 minutes.

The fronts are easy compared to the backs. The fronts have two screws in the back of the rotor to hold the calipers in place. After those are off, they should slide right out unless you had problems with rust and corrosion which is what drkenan I think is alking about.
