Brake fluid and heat tape
(former uomoa4)
No intention to clutter the forums with too many topics, but the questions are different from the previous ones.
Brake fluid. It's a bit low in my A4 1.8, any particular tip ? Better change it all? Or just fill it up?
Heat resistant tape.
I had a little opening in the air duct coming from the upper front grille, before the flexible part that attaches to the air filter. I closed the little gap with DUCT TAPE. Do you guys know a better HEAT RESISTANT tape? / Do you have a better idea for fixing the problem? (Other than ordering a new part)
Thanks!

Brakes are not really my forte, but I'd check and see why it's low. Have you had a pad and rotor change lately? Do you notice any change in your brakes at all? There is brake fluid that resists heat better and therefore does not scortch at as low a temp, but I'm not sure that for our application that really has much value. As for the heat tape, yes, there is fiberglass heat tape often used to wrap exhaust pipes that you could use. You should be able to find it at most parts stores. It's a lot like casting material used for broken limbs.
