Brake Light Problem

Default Brake Light Problem

When I'm just driving sometimes my brake light (BRAKE) comes on for no reason at all, it beaps for like a few seconds then just goes away, it freaked me out so i check the manual but it was no help, i dont leave the hand brake up at all, so can some on tell me whats wrong with my baby

That light only comes on when a bulb is burned out right? Remove the access cover from your taillights and pull the bulbs out, to see if they weren't seated proberly.

nah that light will come on if the fluid is low or the brake pedal reaches the floor

I have a similar problem. Is it the same light you are talking about? Essentially the light on the dash that looks like a bulb with a cross through it intermittently comes on. A gentle wack on the rear left break light makes the bulb come back on and then the dash warning lights goes out after a while. I assume there is a loose connection or something? Any ideas anyone? I have a A4 TDi 130 Sport, havent had it for long, can anyone let me know where the access to the rear bulbs is please?

A bulb with a cross through it is a burnt out headlight.

In my specific case, the Driver Info system tells me its the Rear Left Brake Light, anyone know how to access it??

Yeah, open your trunk. Remove the black access panel covering the light. It's easy, it will all make sense when you try to do it.

My Brake pads where low and i got them replaced and the light has come on yet
