brake pad change
Fronts, you can use any type of clamp. I used to use a big C clamp to push it back in.
On the rears, you need to turn the piston as you push in. They have a tool at Autozone or Advanced Autothat you can rent (like $50 but you get it all back when you return it). Just ask for the brake caliper tool. I ended up buying a new tool set since I won't be paying someone to do my brakes anytime soon. Works well for the fronts too (better than a C clamp). Get a ride and go get one before it gets too dark.
The reason you need to twist the rears is because of the parking brake setup on rear disk brakes, btw.
Also, make sure your brake fluid reservior is open (but doesn't spill out) and really you should open up the bleeder valve on the caliper so you don't push fluid back through the system (can mess with ABS).
Have fun.
