My car is in the shop. I had my brakes fade (to the floor) and the shop replaced the master cylinder. The brakes still fade. The shop says that they are not sure why it is still dong that. He is checking w/ an Audi dealer to see what it may be. Can anyone provide any insight as to what the problem might be before I get yanker for more $ ?

If it isn't leaking anymore, the shop forgot to vent the brakes (remove air bubbles in the brake lines), or they didn't do it properly.

 

your mechanic doesn't know what he is doing, I never ever had to contact a dealer on simple issues like this, breaking systems are standard to all cars and simple to fix (air leak, air in system, bad repair, master cylinder, booster) it seems your getting stuffed
