Default Breather Hose

So I was changing my passenger side valve cover gasket today and while removing the valve cover it turns out that my breather hose that attaches to the valve cover at the back of the engine was very brittle and cracked.

It cracked right after the 90 degree bend. I have temporarily fixed it by wrapping it in duct tape and several layers of black electrical tape. I don't think it will melt or catch fire, however it is close to the engine, so I want to get this fixed ASAP.

I looked up the part number on the hose and it led to this:
breather hose

The price is $137 for a plastic hose!
Is there any solution to just order the part that broke and affix it to the other parts of the hose or am I really going to have to shell out $137 for a complete CVV setup?

I have a 2003 Audi a6 3.0L BTW.

Well, on a side note replacing the valve cover gasket.

There is still white smoke coming from what looks to be the bottom passenger side of the engine. I can't find out where the cause is.

It's not really an oily smell, kind of like burnt plastic. Are there any hoses or plastic parts that would break below the engine, kind of under the throttle body?
This is starting to worry me, also I am trying to solve another issue at this time, a p0491 and p0492 code, is it possible these two are related?

Also, is it possible these could be cam chain tensioner gasket leaks or a cam adjuster seal? I heard that these are very challenging to replace on the 3.0L V6 30V engines. I can't seem to find aDIY writeup on the procedure for the 3.0 anywhere, but supposedly it isn't as simple as the 2.7 or 2.8 because the timing belt and everything must be removed, can anyone confirm?
