they charge 135$ at my stealership! crazy eh? i never go there unless its something with the warranty.

 

$60/hr. in LA area. you should check to see if they had the shop price posted on the wall as requried in most states.

 

I don't mind paying the $90 hourly rate as long as it is an honest work. The dealership near my house is good (Oakville Audi) but the guy that works in the parts department is a total a%^&hole. I was there yesterday to pick up a part for my car because I have this annoying CEL and I know it is a vacuum problem. This guy told me to bring the car in so they can look at it and I told him that I know the problem. He said something stupid like the VAG COM that I have is not as good as their diagnostic tool and that they spent 1M dollars or so in their facility. This is the same guy that charged me $4 for the crimp on clamp for my vacuum hose where the list price was $2. I wish Owasco and CLConversion is in Oakville and not Oshawa, it will make my life a lot easier and the car more enjoyable. I think I am going to sell my car to get something more reliable like a BMW or Jetta TDI.
