camshaft sensor

i have changed the camshaft sensor on an 2002 a4 advant 2ltr petrol, and the timing is still allover the place, ant ideas, and still telling me the sensor is still at fault.

did you clean the cam gear where the sensor takes its reading? what about the connector? is the wiring good? what about spark plugs? have you investigated a coil pack?
