hey this question is for everyone with a c.f. product on their car. i just got my hood in today and im just wondering what kind of products can and cant be used on the part. there is some gunk on the hood from shipping but it rubs off, can i use clay bar on it? and to clean it back up do i wax it w/ normal wax? just basic tips on how to take care of it and keep it shiny is what im lookin for here.

 

I'm not sure about the claybar but I think you can wax it (don't take that to the bank though). A lot of what you can do will depend on what they used in the manufacture of the hood to seal and protect it. Best bet is to call or email the maker of the hood for recommendations on what to use.

 

take it to a body shop and get it clear coated, or the seal coat will eventually fade and discolor from the sun
