is this a good replacement for the factory one?

You live there, find out!

Also, if you don't feel like getting a TP, go for a HFC, they work fine.

i tend to get rattling noises with my high flow cats, i've heard other people have the same bothrence.

Yeah that wont work, b/c the cat conv is bolted right up to the exhaust manifold, and how are you supposed to just like cut off your current one and weld that one on there..sorry that wont work.just get a test pipe..I just put mine on and its fricken awesome.

you drop it out and cut and weld them in or use exauhst mounting...connectors? ha iduno what they're called, but yes it works, alot of people do it.

i must say though with the 1.8 the test pipe really is the easiest/ best way to go.

ebay test pipe $120 shipped to the door.. then just stack up 2 long foulers one only half way drilled out.. thats what i did and I have no CEL after 1000 miles
