hey everyone, i hav a 1997 1.8t with the bose system, i only have the cassette deck, i am wondering which cd changer is compatible with the bose system???

are all a4s, that year 1997, pre wired for a cd changer in the trunk?

 

every A4 of every year is wired for a cd changer. The plug is in the drivers side rear wheel well. It should be wrapped in a hunk of foam.

 

i seriously cant find the damn connector. i do see the amp, where exactly is it?

 

yeah it's a big pain to find. You may have to remove the carpet shield from the wheel well. found mine by sticking my hand down into the little wheel well cubby and fishing my arm around untill I found it. Mine was a little below the amp and toward the trunk opening a little.

will a pioneer Cd changer plug into that, because i went to Best Buy and they said the instalation was 70 bucks, could i do it myself?

 

I really doubt it will just plug in. You need the Panasonic changer that comes with it. I've heard there are other panasonic changers out there that will work with an adapter too. They are on Ebay all the time. It's the 13 pin version.
