central locking on A6 to A4

Default central locking on A6 to A4
Theres a guy in town parting out his 98 A6 2.8. My A4 2.8's central locking module went out a few months ago and its driving me crazy. Does anyone know if this module would work in my car??

by the way.. how do i know if it is the ecu on the module or the module itself that is bad. i opened up the actual module and the graphite compressor wheel looks fine and everything looks in shape?

You hook it up to some VAG software and see if you can access the controler.
