Default Central Locking Repair

I finally repaired my central locking pump today after reading this article...

http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec149.shtml

I went along to my local scrap car dealer and although I didnt expect to find what I was looking for, almost fell over an old 1985 Audi 80. After checking in the boot (trunk) I found that the central locking/alarm unit was still intact. I didnt need it all so dismantled it there in the yard which meant I only needed to pay for the motor and pump. I promptly paid the attendant who, not realizing what I had, charged me only £3 ($5.85). I left a section of the pneumatic pipe on it to use in the conversion. There were clear differences; spaces on the rubber mounts, the length and angle of the vac pipes but I still made it work. It took about 1 hour and without paying out a fortune I now have fully working central locking again.

Pics posted to show how I did it. If you read the audiworld article it tells you all you need to know.

Go on... give it a go.. it was easy..
