hi everyone, i got my clear side indicators/markers today and i need to know how to remove the standard ones to fit the new ones. mine are the little square ones, not the rectangle ones.
does anyone have any instructions on how to remove the old?

i tried to follow the instructions on the DIY forum but the stock ones wont come out.
are the usuallu really hard to get out? how hard should i leaver them? their isnt anything i need to losen behind the fender is their?

 

yeah i have done this a million times.

this is probably no how the audi dealer does it (haha) but . . .

in the picture you can see the little peice that is holding it in. if you look at the new clear one and line it up directly like the stock one is on there (i used the writing on the new side marker to see which side was right side up) then you should be able to figure out where that little arm is.

all i did was slide the knife between the fender and the side marker and gentley pushed it until it would release.

it really is very simple.

yeah thats probbaly a better idea. i wrapped the kinfe in a paper towel so that it wouldnt scratch but yea credit card and your golden
