Default Check Engine Light

Over the weekend my light came on and I got over to autozone today and scanned for codes. This is what came up:

P0150 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

So, any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Maybe swap that O2 to a different O2 sensor position and see if the code moves along with it. If so, voila - change the O2 sensor. If not, you have a problem somewhere else in the wiring.

They're on the exhaust system, right near the engine, and then there are secondary sensors just after the cats. There may be a diagram somewhere or photos that someone else has posted - do a search for "oxygen sensor replacement" or something to that effect here, and you may find a thread with pics posted.

If I recall right, bank 2 is the driver's side (since cylinder 1 is on the passenger side). Sensor 1 would be the main O2 sensor, closest to the engine. On that diagram, that would make it sensor G108, since that's a rear view of the engine (basically, the view you'd have of the engine if you were sitting in the driver's seat of the car).

Just as an FYI, the secondary O2 sensors would be farther down the exhaust stream, after the catalytic converters. The primary O2 sensors, which are shown on that diagram, are used by the engine to determine the fuel ratio for the engine. The secondary O2 sensors are strictly for emissions use, as their measurements are compared to those of the primaries so the ECU can be sure the cats are working right.
