Well the guys at tyrolsport seem cool answered all my questions. I want to put the chip in on 5/15. The guy said it will take 2-4 hours for all the work (two chips and boast gauge). He quoted me 800 for the chips and 90 for the gauge. I’m stopping by there this Monday so he can check my transmission code or something like that. I think it’s needed for me to get the tiptronic chip.

Were you not paying attention in Search For **** You Want To Know About Before Asking 101??? Cuz we have that class about 5 times/day. There is really no excuse for this. Im going to show you something, and I want you to know that you are on the recieving end.

jk

Its going to cost probably close to $800-$900 for all parts and labor.
chip:$550
tip chip:$250
Boost Gauge:$50-$150

Just expect to pay $1000 and be happy if its less.
ouch!

Hi d_maniac. What a coincidence. I just finished sending Tyrolsports an email because I got no answer at all when I called the number listed on their website.

$800 doesn't sound too bad. I want to install the GIAC ECU chip and the diverter valve and I asked them for a price quote. I'm waiting for their reply. I'm hoping it's prompt because I'd like to have this taken care of this month.

BTW, just curious, is Tyrolsports ordering the chip for you or do you have to buy it yourself and bring it in to them? Thanks.
