Bring cash and you can probably save on tax at some shops. Can't beat $500 out the door for a REVO flash.

 

Depends on which chip. My APR chip is soldered in, so no you can't do it yourself.

And no, you can't flash the chip yourself.

 

^^ so no... you're best bet is to cruise the classifieds on the zine and buy a used ecu for your car with programming. for the same price as one program you will probly get something that is fully loaded. or get an ecu with it so you have yours as a backup. I got mine for 4 bills. 93 oct. apr

 

+1 on the classifieds. if u can find someone with a chipped ecu of your year thats for sale, def jump on that. not like chips are affected by how many miles are on them or anything

 

What chips seems to be really good performance and easy install yourself. and what is really good performance chip that needs to be installed by a shop?
