i bought my car used and i know that is is chipped, but i can't figure out by who i have tooking the ecu out and looked at it no marking and i ever have took it apart no physcial chip and no markings i know it is not a giac chip because a local giac dealer checked with giac and nothing came back under my vin code is there any other way to find out who's software is in my car, i already tryed to former owener and he seems to be a big pot head and can't rember

 

Try calling or emailing APR to verify the VIN. Then try neuspeed, considering all your neuspeed mods.

Keep in mind also that the previous owner may had bought a used chipped ecu and there may be no way to find out by using your VIN #. At least get a boost gauge and see what you are boosting at. If its 18+ it may be GIAC or APR, if its 10-12 psi, it might be neuspeed. But neuspeed also has a 1.1 bar chip that would be similar in boost to GIAC and APR. This is gunna be a tuffy for you.

 

it boosts at 12 in first gear 15 in secound gear and 18 in third fouth and fifth gear that is what it was this morning but i also just found that my turbo inlet hose was off the turbo which probaly happened saturday when i was in there replacing vacum hoses

 

I dont know what to tell you man... Pick a brand and go with it! With GIAC though, I boost the same in every gear.

dahlback and revo, but i think most places stopped using revo for B5's a while back because of tuning problems. Its more of a b6 chip now.
